6,600  SF  expansion  to  an  existing  research  and  analysis  facility.  Notable  elements  included  a  drive-‐in  climate  chamber  designed  to  expose  vehicles  to  a  range  of  environmental  conditions.  In  addition,  the  project  required  a  specially  designed  seismic  mass  to  isolate  the  chamber  from  the  rest  of  the  structure.  This  seismic  mass  necessitated  extremely  high  fabrication  tolerances.      Because  the  facility  is  used  for  R&D  activities,  the  building  was  outfitted  with  an  array  of  sensors  and  controls  that  tied  into  the  client’s  campus-‐wide  building  management  system.
