JAMES WHITE LIBRARY PRESENTS Melba Joyce Boyd, editor Roses and Revolutions: The Selected Writings of Dudley Randall Thursday, April 15, 2010, 7 p.m. James White Library Gallery Melba Joyce Boyd is distinguished professor and chair of Africana Studies at Wayne State University. She is the author of 13 books. “Dudley Randall was one of the foremost voices in African-American literature during the 20th century and was the founder of Broadside Press in Detroit, which published many well-known black poets. His poems and short stories show the changes in civil rights and historical events during the 80 years of his life.” Boyd’s presentation will include video inter- views with Randall.
