The month of June  saw an increase of12% in overnight visitation compared tothe 5 year average (2014-2019). 

YTD overnight visitation in thesecond  quarter of 2019 is 14% higherthan the 5 year average.

YTD air arrivals have grown by 12% or10,200 more passengers than in 2018. 

Over the last 5 years, air arrivals havegrown by 32% or 23,100more passengers than in 2015. 

Second  quarter performance is 21%higher than the 5 year average (2014 to2018).

YTD border crossings are 1% higher thanin 2018. 

In the first six months of 2019, crossingsthrough Canadian Border ServicesAgency ports of entry were 15% higherthan the the 5 year average (2014-2018).  

YTD same day border crossings are 4%higher than in 2018. 

The month of April saw a 47% increasein same day border crossings comparedto April 2018. 

Same day border crossings in the secondquarter of 2019 were 20% higher thanthe second quarter 5 year average.

YTD retail sales are up  3% ($11.7million) over 2018.

YTD retail sales are up 15% comparedto the 5 year average (2014-2018).

Comparatively, national retail salesincreased 2% YTD.
