Jan Prowler was a Chinese-American conspiracy theorist, author, marine biologist, chemist, and soldier in both the Chinese and American armies. He was born in Beijing on January 28th, 1969 to Chi Ling Prowler and Ann Prowler (nee Rosenberg). In 1971, when Jan was 2, Chi Ling died in a factory accident. Ann raised Jan until he was 11, and sent him to a foster home in China. A month after that decision, Ann Prowler killed herself. Jan never found out what happened to his motheruntil shortly before his own death. During his stay in the foster home, Jan met

Denise Richards, an American journalist documenting the conditions of Chinese kids in foster homes. Richards took particular interest in Prowler and another child named Lee Oretin, who was also an orphan. Against her adviser's and the homemanager's words, Richards took both Oretin and Prowler overseas to her home inLos Angeles. Jan fell in love with L.A., but Lee did not like it as much, and when he turned 18 in 1978, left the family and was never seen or heard from for four years. Jan would eventually reunite with the man he considered his brother in1982 when he joined a military academy in Philadelphia, where Richards had moved with her new husband, Dean Cutlass. Cutlass was a scientist and was a CIA secret agent at the time. He'd publised many books and was also a musician.

Jan graduated from the academy with honors in 1985. Lee Oretin had graduated a y

ear earlier and bought in house in Philly, which he invited Jan, Denise, and Dean to live in with him. In 1987, Dean left the CIA after he claimed that they hadthreatened his family. The threat generated from Dean overhearing a conversation between CIA agent George Wallace and his fellowe agent Robert Toole. The discussion regarded UFO scandals as well as information on the disease that would become AIDS that same year. He recorded it on a tape recorder and played it to thousands of people during one of his lectures. It featured Agent Wallace specifically saying these words: "The less people, the better, Rob. [Robert Toole]. We need this to get rid of them.". Dean said he was referring to AIDS, which was speculated to be a man-made disease created in a Chicago laboratory. Jan took particular interest in this and decided to partner up with the much older Cutlass in his work. Together, they toured over 20 US cities and towns, partnering with descendants of the Kennedy family and other figures such as Milton Cooper, author of

Behold A Pale Horse. Jan's most famous speech was in Miami, Florida, when he said clearly that his friend, Jim Wallace, the brother of George Wallace, was going to kill him if he returned to his hometown of New York City "spreading lies about the CIA and its affiliates". Jan said he continued to speak about what he knew not because he was being defiant, but he wasn't lying about what he knew. Hewas telling the truth.

From 1988 to 1993, Jan made 47 total speeches. 28 of those 47 almost resulted inthe end of his life. Dean Cutlass, who had now authored the book "Simple Truths: From Kennedy to King", which specualted that 13 major political, governmental, and musical figures were murdered by the CIA, which became a NY bestseller andattracted millions of people, told him to stop talking. He'd said he knew people

like himself and Phil Schneider, one of his best friends who had explored similar topics, were already too far gone, but Prowler, who was only 24 at the time, had a chance to live. Still, Prowler continued to speak. He had great confidencof his survival: he'd married and had two daughters. He even had an apartment inMidtown, Manhattan.

On June 18th, 1995, Prowler and Cutlass were on their way to the Empire State Building to give another lecture. Prowler had stopped to get something to eat. Inthe restaurant was Glenn McKinney, who'd saw him order his food and then walk out with it a short while later. Prowler was on his way back to his car when a black Lincoln pulled up alongside him. Two silenced shots were fired into his chest. McKinney went to find a phone. When he came back, Prowler's body was gone. Police searched for it for days until finally finding in on June 21st in a Pennsylv

ania forest preserve. It had been mutilated and dismembered.

As of 2010, nobody has been arrested in connection to his murder.

Jan was a very brave man. He'd served three tours in the military and was willing, just like his counterparts, to risk his life to help expose the truth. He died, but his memory will live forever. His message helped to expose the horrific secrets kept by the American government. In 1999, Dean Cutlass gave a two-hour long lecture about Prowler and his life. He spoke on Prowler's many endeavors thathe did not get a chance to speak of himself. Dean also helped to release Prowle

    r's autobiography, "The Masked Man".
