OFFERTORY WEEKEND OF JAN. 5th
Regular Offertory: $ 7,760.00
Total: $ 7,760.00
Thank you very much for your continuing support and
generosity.
There are four ways of giving to St. Patrick’s Church:
1. Making contributions through your bank in person or
online.
2. Making gifts to church of appreciated securities.
3. Making a one time or an annual end of the year gift.
4. Establishing a legacy gift as part of one’s estate planning.
All of us who have IRAs and who
have reached age 70 1/2 must take
an annual payout from our IRA.
The amount is based on your age,
the government’s life expectancy
tables, and the value of the account. Naturally,
the full payout is taxable income and your addi-
tional tax must be paid to IRS and to Connecti-
cut.
Often, some of or the entire distribution isn’t
really needed. In that case there is a very easy
way to avoid your additional tax. You merely
direct your plan administrator to pay a defined
portion of the required payout to St. Patrick’s
Building Fund (or to any other qualified benefi-
ciary). Your plan administrator is fully aware of
this procedure and prepared to assist you in
making this simple distribution. Only the
amount that is received by you is taxed. The
amount paid to St. Patrick’s is not taxed either
to you or to St. Patrick’s.
PLEASE NOTE: Campaign payments can be
sent to the office at any time. Thank you for
your commitment to our addition!
Would you like to be a reader at
Mass? It only means giving up one
week every 5 weeks or so. We are in
need of more readers for weekend
Masses. Please consider joining this
important ministry.

As you are busy making your resolutions for a
new year, please remember to keep our
ministries at the forefront of your commitment
for the upcoming year. As you focus on
growing, changing and becoming a better
version of your current self, giving of yourself
in time and service will help you reach your
goals more than a new diet or exercise routine.
For more information on volunteering and
ministries, contact Sally LaBonte at
The Baptism of Jesus depicts the
relationship between God and
humanity. In baptism we have become
children of God. From our birth God
calls us to be whole, holy people. For
some, the path to wholeness and
holiness is through service as a priest,
brother or sister. If you believe this is
your path, call Fr. Michael Casey,
Director of Vocations, Archdiocesan
Pastoral Center, (860) 761-7456 or
email [email protected] or visit
