First Reading: Isaiah 40:1-5.9-11 The people are urged to prepare a way fo the Lord who is coming to save them.
Second Reading: Titus 2:11-14. 3: 4-7 God’s grace and love are manifested in Jesus Christ. Gospel: Luke 3:15-16. 21-22 We hear a small sample of the preaching of John the Bap-tist, and are given a brief account of the baptism of Jesus.

The countdown to Good Shepherd’s 40th ANNIVERSARY has begun!
To commemorate the 40 years, a foundation fact about Good Shepherd’s history will be presented each week.
Week #20 Did you know that.......... Good Shepherd Church is on a 10 acre parcel on Tranquility Road, Route 517 in Andover Borough which was donated by Mr. Finn Capersen, president of Westby Farms in 1982. From April to August of 1984, people of the parish cleared the 10 acres of cedar trees and in June the retention basin for the water drainage system was put in.
