2020 – 2021 Tuition and Registration – Contrary to popular belief, tuition alone does not pay the bills

at any Catholic school. The cost to educate one child in our K-6 program is approximately $5,800. Our

parish picks up a great deal of this cost, relying heavily on the offertory collection at the weekend Masses.

That is one reason why it is so critical that families are registered with our parish and that they attend

Sunday Mass, contributing to the Sunday collection to the extent that they are able.

There will be a 2% increase in K-6 tuition at the elementary schools. The tuition for preschool 3s (T/Th

mornings) will be $1175, and preschool 4/young 5s (M/W/F full day) will be $2700. Our Little Saints

Preschool Enrichment Program offers options for additional days and hours. Please see the preschool flyer

on the back for pricing information, or call the school office for more information.

The elementary tuition for all Jackson Catholic schools is:

1 Child (K-6) $3590

2 Children (K-6) $6300

3+ Children (K-6) $8150

Tuition for LCCS 7-12 will be paid to Lumen Christi with multiple child discounts applying for 7-12 students.

Multiple child discounts at the elementary schools will be for students in K-6.

Registration for the 2020-2021 school year is now open. We will continue to use FACTS for

registration, tuition assistance application, as well as for tuition collection. This allows families to register

all children in one easy step. The non-refundable registration fee is $75 per family if paid by

February 29. The fee for returning families jumps to $150 on March 1.

Financial Assistance – Some tuition assistance for K-6 students is available through the school. The

Diocese of Lansing offers financial assistance for K-12 students. There is no financial assistance for

preschool, preschool enrichment or latchkey as these programs are self-sustaining.

Application for ALL Financial Aid/Scholarship Assistance – Families who are seeking financial

assistance for the 2020–2021 school year will use the FACTS site to complete the application process. In

the past, the Diocese used a separate application process requiring a fee. Parents need only complete the

FACTS financial assistance application. This information is used by both the diocese and the area schools.

We strongly encourage all parents to apply before the March 1st deadline

To access the FACTS website, go to our school website at www.jcsstjohn.org and click on “Registration” in

the “About” dropdown menu on the right side of the homepage.

Registering Now for Little Saints Preschool and Preschool Enrichment at St. John

Our preschool program has been purposefully designed as the first step in your child’s academic career. This means that your child becomes familiar with and accustomed to music class, gym class and technology time, as well as other specials opportunities. Through Reading Buddies with older students and involvement in various all-school activities, our preschoolers are truly a part of our St. John School family. For our students, advancing to Kindergarten is not a leap, but a natural and comfortable step.

Our preschool 3s program meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Enrichment options include afternoon enrichment on those days and Monday, Wednesday, Friday full-day add-on. Child must be 3 by September 1. Our preschool 4s/young 5s meet for a full-day on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. There is an enrichment option of a Tuesday, Thursday full-day add-on.
