Flood Relief Grants from cuaid.coop

The flood that NEPA experienced in September of 2011

was devastating to many of our members. We at the

credit union wanted to do something to help these peo-

ple in need. We were able to award $11,000 in CU Aid

Grants to 18 families who suffered losses due to the

flood.

2011 Financial Reality Fair

On November 16th, 2011 the first Financial Reality fair sponsored by the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association and the Pennsyl-

vania Credit Union Foundation was held at the Capitol Building in Harrisburg, PA. Over 180 students, including 6 from our very

own, Susquehanna Career & Technology Center, were in attendance to learn and practice managing money. This is all part of the

Real Solutions initiative and aligns with our mission at the credit union to provide financial education and literacy to students. Vol-

unteers and representatives worked various booths to help students with budgeting decisions. Secretary of Banking, Glen Moyer

stopped by to see the event and meet the students, volunteers, and representatives. Overall, it was a very successful and fun event for

all in attendance!
