The Adult Education Mental Health research is a national project funded by the Department of Education (DfE).
As part of this research, we are inviting peopleto complete short, part-time community learning courses to see if the courses help you feel more in control of your life by finding different ways to manage things like not sleeping, stress, adjusting to changesin your life and circumstances, worrying, finding it hard to go out, feeling anxious or sad a lot of the time.
If you are interested in being part of this research we will ask you to fill in some mood and well-being questionnaires to see if you are eligible. If you are, we will ask you to sign a consent to let us use the information you give us. We will ask you to fill in the same mood and well-being questionnaires during your course. Your course will be free.
If the research finds that these courses can help people, then not only will you be doing something positive for yourself but you will also be helping others who will get to do the course in the future, perhaps including someone you care about.
