We are going to put together a video clip on January 22nd at 1:30 in the front living room. We would love as many people as possible to be a part of this. Betty FongOn September 10, 1927, Mr. &

Mrs. Ernest Snow became parents totheir 5th child. They named herBetty. She was born at home. Sevenmore children came after Betty.

Ernest worked on a farm, andBertha, her mom, was a very busyhousewife.

Schooling was done in a 1-roomhouse with only one teacher. It wasthat way from 1st to 6th grade. At theage of 13, she quit school to go towork in a grocery store. During heryouth, she and her sister sang a song(Little Red Caboose Behind theTrain) to people who were on a

freight train. There was one veryimportant person on that train. Hisname was Franklin D. Roosevelt.

While riding a greyhound bus in1944, she met a young man namedLee Lalumondier. He was a breadsalesman. They married on March 13,1945, in Reedley, CA. They had twoboys shortly after marriage. The familymoved to Sacramento, CA.

In 1972, after divorce, Betty marriedHarvey Fong. They worked together inthe same grocery store.

Retirement came for Betty in 2000.She moved to Grants Pass to livenear family.

During her life she enjoyedcamping, hunting, fishing, snow skiingin the CA Sierra mountains. Shevolunteered at schools and taughtAmerican Indian Culture.

On Sept. 20, 2017, she moved in toOak Lane.
