LA COUNCIL NEWSLETTER

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO US ALL!

LOOKING FORWARD TO A GREAT SKI SEASON AND A PROSPEROUS 2019!

Steamboat: The LAC Steamboat trip (with Far West Ski Association) has just about reached capacity for the

Council. And now that there is snow, people looking to go on the trip are coming out of the woodwork. So if you still want

to go and have not gotten your money in: Contact Todd Hood Immediately at [email protected]. Not only is this trip

packed full of things to do, Steamboat’s Western Days will be in full swing while we are there. Your Ikon pass is good for

5 days of lift tickets at Steamboat.

Winter Park, CO is the 2019 mini trip destination with Far West. Dates are March 24 -29, 2019. Currently, LAC is

not scheduled to go there, but if you are interested – as it is a wonderful place to ski – please contact Nancy Ellis

([email protected]) and let her know of your interest. She can put you in with others that are attending.

Big Sky, Montana: To get you up to speed for 2020 – LAC will be going to Big Sky, again with Far West.

Trip dates are: Jan. 25 – Feb. 1, 2020; and

Big White, Canada is the Mini trip, set for March 29 – April 3, 2020.

[And, I think your Ikon Pass works at both of these resorts]

FEBRUARY 11TH

MEETING With a Guest Speaker: Dave Mazor of Sport Tours. The meeting will be in

Marina del Rey, location will be announced. And, I would appreciate your RSVP that you will be attending. Since we

have a speaker coming, I really want to make sure we have a wonderful turnout of the clubs at that meeting. [The date

was changed from the usual 1st Monday to the 2

nd Monday due to the FWSA annual ski trip to Steamboat – most of the

board will be out of town that week.]
