IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IMC) is organizing its annual IMC India Calling Conference 2020 on Thursday, March 12, 2020 in Mumbai at Hotel Taj Lands End. IMC India Calling Conference is an annual feature established by IMC to provide networking platform for Indian and global players to come together and debate, share insights and explore potential investment opportunities and collaborations. Each year, a couple sectors are chosen to focus on where maximum opportunities are available. IMC India Calling Conference for the year 2020 will focus on the following two sectors: Smart Infrastructure Green Technology – Mobility and Sustainability In its previous edition, supported by Ministry of External Affairs of the government of India, the IMC India Calling Conference was held on March 25, 2019 in Mumbai with focused sessions on Artificial Intelligence and Retail Industry. The sessions will include an overview by Ministry of External Affairs and Invest India, of project collaborations, policies of local authorities in select smart cities, industry perspective of smart infrastructure, policies that are conducive for foreign investment, global case studies and next generation vision on smart infrastructure and green technology. The Conference will bring together over 300 delegates comprising Indian and overseas companies in the fields of smart infrastructure, green technology, policy makers, government officials, economists, banks and financial institutions, logistic providers, investors, academic institutions, industry associations and other experts to discuss and share insights into the development of markets in India, policy inputs and opportunities for companies to invest and collaborate in above two sectors. The Conference will provide participating delegates, of Indian and overseas companies, a great platform to network with executives and decision makers of Indian companies and with the relevant government authorities. economically weaker section due

to lack of housing policies. Some

parts in India have introduced

Pr ivate mode of t ranspor t is

dominant in India. There is a heavy

reliance on private transport that has

led to the congestion of roads and

pollution. Road networks therefore

inux of these vehicles.

On a separate note, public mode of

transport is gradually decreasing in

terms of popularity. In an effort to

improve the urban transport situation

in India, new metro rail networks

have been developed.

The water supply in India faces

several issues and the water and

wastewater management in the

country needs to be improved.

The government though has made

selected areas.

Sewage and sanitation is also

facing a dilemma in India at the

work in progress.
