This Year’s Presidential Election This year is a presidential election and we want our congregation engaged. Our social actions ministry is in the lobby today recruiting volunteers for certified voter registration training, which will happen here at the Church throughout the Spring. Additionally, the Team is developing election information tools, which can properly equip members of the Church and community to make the RIGHT choices when they show up at the polls this Spring and Fall. Find out more on our website. You can also contact Deaconess Sheri Brown at [email protected] or Lisa Garry at [email protected] for more information.

It’s time to TRUST GOD like never before --- Our 90-Day Tithing Challenge This month we are starting a 90-day tithing challenge. For most of us this is an area that challenges us in our pursuit to TRUST GOD. It doesn’t matter how much or how little we make – God has PROMISED to pour out blessings on us when we are FAITFHUL with our tithe – Tithing is about training your heart to TRUST GOD at HIS WORD. Join the Christian Education Ministry and TAKE THIS CHALLENGE --- complete a form (available at the Information Center), place it in the offering basket or handle your registration on-line from the website. THEN over the next 90-days watch what God does with YOUR GIVING, YOUR FAITH and YOUR LEVEL OF TRUST IN HIM. The challenge targets members who have never tithed or who haven’t tithed within the last 6 to 12 months. Challengers should submit a Challenge Enrollment Form. Once completed forms can be placed in the offering basket or left at the main church office. You can also submit the enrollment information electronically to [email protected]. A form is included in this week’s bulletin. Complete challenge information is also available on-line at www.msbcministries.org.

Church, the way it used to be – hymns, hats, marching and fellowship are all on the menu for our 2-day Celebration Event honoring the legacy of Mother Mildred Debnam. Mother Debnam is gone, but she’ll never be forgotten and what a way to remember her with an event celebrating our history – musically. Carlton Burgess – creator of the Hymn Lovers Conference initiative, has enhanced the music ministry of churches all over the country as he conducts workshops, seminars and lectures on the essentials of Praise and Worship as well as musical performance. For our Ole’ Time Church Event, Mr. Burgess will conduct a Hymns Seminar and Workshop on Saturday and serve as our Guest Worship Leader and Choir Director on Sunday – join us as we celebrate Church the way it used to be and honor the legacy of our Pastor’s mother – Mother Mildred Debnam. Registration Required For Saturday Only ($15.00 for MSBC Members, $25.00 for Guests). This Event is Open to the Entire Congregation and Community. No prior musical experience necessary. A registration form is included in this week’s bulletin or you can register conveniently on-line at www.msbcministries.org
