Homework:Get a copy of Louis Sacher's HolesRoots, words and definitions for unit 3 due Wednesday. Objective: I can use a double entry journal to enhance my understanding of text.

Warm Up (in your composition book)Copy today's date and the objective into your comp book. Go to the next clean sheet in your comp book, and make three columns (for vocabulary) and label the columns ROOT, WORD, DEFINITION

Today we will be reading a short story called The Fun They Had.

We will then respond to this text using a double entry journal.

A double entry journal is a way for you to interact with the text by selecting important passages and responding to them in one of several different ways.
