The Edison K8 School Parent Council is as busy as ever! The SPC held a Family Coffee before the Annual Winter Lights Celebration in December,

where parents gathered together to chat and socialize before the show! The SPC also held a Family Movie Night on January 30th with pizza,

popcorn, and “The Lion King!” Check out these great pictures ☺

A big shoutout to our K-5 January Core Value Winners! We focused on Resourcefulness this month.

In 3rd grade, Ms. Eisnitz said her students showed resourcefulness by “using 100 charts and number lines to help solve problems,” and in 4th

grade Ms. Goodwin’s class showed resourcefulness by “using the dictionary to learn new words!”

Theater Arts Spotlight

Ms. Matthews and Mr. Dimino had so much fun with their students in January! Check out the pictures below

from their classroom! Students are doing their vocal warm up by using a variety of tones and voices to say a funny rhyme about a chocolate bunny. There are also

pictures from their “Theatre Emotion Walk Game” where students walk to the beat of a drum and show different emotions with their faces and bodies, like

“sleepy” and “happy”! Last, check out their students cooling down after an exciting class J

Kindergarten WOLVES Project In Ms. Farmer’s classroom, students just finished a unit on wolves! Her students first painted backgrounds in their dioramas, then used a ball of clay to sculpt wolves and paint them. Next, they added 3-D trees and bushes and created the habitats in the dioramas. Some students were inspired to paint wolves on the easel, while others were inspired to make wolf dens using blocks. Finally, Mrs. Raymond, who helped students paint their sculpted wolves, brought them back down to the art room to glue their wolves into their dioramas! It’s been such a fun journey J
