Christmas PastChristmas celebration seems like a daily

event at the Lodge. Many community

groups come to visit and recreation staff

are kept busy organizing unit parties.

Often our residents are tucked into bed

with jingle bells still ringing in their ears,

not to mention the extra treats they get

along with the festivities.

Musicians such as Mario and Friend got

everyone's toes tapping.

Jason, Alisha and Tim are serving up

cookies and squares made by the nutrition

care department.Ashley Hagen, one of our favourite divas is

the lead singer for this talented band Green

Road. On the left is her husband Travis

and the other is Frank.

This conga line was led by family member

Carol Paschek, followed by Georgette

Life at the Lodge

Christmas Dinner Served Over 170

Happy Residents and Family

The Lodge held a Christmas dinner for

residents and their families on Sunday,

December 13. This is a very special event,

where relatives can join their Resident for

a meal and have a lovely and traditional

Christmas dinner with them. The

Nutrition Care staff decorated the Tea

joyful chatter and the only complaint was

that there was too much food.

The menu consisted of traditional turkey

and tourtiere, homemade stuffing and all

the trimmings. The desserts were worth

Douglas and Mary Murray.

Annual Volunteer Christmas Tea We sincerely welcomed our volunteers to our Christmas Tea. They have given of their time and themselves over the year and it is appropriate to share a bit of the Christmas spirit together. May this season bring everyone joy and we look forward to continuing to working with them to enhance our Residents’ quality of life.

Debora Pilgrim (who assists with dining) and Lillian Leger (who helps with transporting residents to and from

bake sale. She also knitted lap blankets for our Kim, decided she would attempt something she

The Champlain Region Family Councils

Network (CRFCN) is a volunteer group

whose goal is to support and maintain

Family Councils at all Long-Term-Care

Homes in the Champlain region. The

region is divided into 5 areas and the Lodge

falls under the Cornwall/Maxville district.

The first annual regional meeting was held

on Monday November 30 at the Lodge.
