Digital Citizenship means that kidsappreciate their responsibility for theircontent as well as their actions when usingthe Internet, cell phones, and other digitalmedia. Common Sense Media

My Definition: Digital Citizenship islearning, understanding and practicing theethical use of technology on a daily basiswith emphasis on digital devices, privacyand security.



Why Digital Citizenship?

It s better to explain how to use technology properly rather than to block it. Locked down, restricted situations caninhibit learning. If teachers and administrators develop their

knowledge of what it really means to be an online learner and take responsibility for what happens in their schools,education is enhanced all around.
