In the story the principal character is called Lizabeth.

she has a little brother in very poor neighborhood.

Her family is suffering poverty

She is unsure to take decisions to be a kid or a woman.

She has a neighbor who has a very beautiful garden and

is called Ms. Lottie.

THE MARIGOLDS

Lizabeth destroyed the marigolds because she had a poor

and ugly life and she did not understand their beauty.

She say “hated the flowers because they interfered with the

perfect ugliness of the place”

In one part she looked at children who were playing and she

was unsure to play and be a kid or be a woman and not play

And the end of the history she became and decided to be a

kid and her brother became more men.
