Start with clean, dry skin and applyyour baby powder or cornstarch

About a quarter size ball on the endof the applicator should be plenty.

It won't break. Don't mess around too long though. The whole purpose of the applicator is to alleviate the passage of heat from skin to sugar.

Don't be afraid to manipulate the sugar.Shape it into a "ball".

Decide which section you want to start with. I prefer the bottom section. Spread in the opposite direction of growth.After the third spread, swiftly remove in the same direction of growth.

Some prefer to spread once and waita few seconds, then remove in lieu of spreading 3x.Play around with what is more comfortable for you.I prefer to spread 3x because you arestretching the pores allowing thesugar to seep in acting like a lube.

Repeat the process for each section taking note of direction of growth.When I'm sugaring the bottom section, I'm spreading towards my face (opposite direction of growth). When I'm doing the top section,I'm spreading more towards the floor. I personally think it's easiest to start on the bottom section.

This is when you need use the shoulder flexibility I was talking about. Raise your shoulder over your head (with the same arm you are sugaring) to reach behind your neck and grab hold of your shoulder.

Alternatively, Lift the arm to be sugared straight up (and maybe slightly out to the side to stretch out your skin) and lean against the mirror or wall right next to the mirror. Now you can use the mirror to see what you're doing instead of trying to strain your eyes and neck. Also, the skin under your arms should be taut in this position.

Use your fingers to pull your skin taut.
