What isCIRCUS OFTHE KIDS?


Circus of the Kids is a camp program designed to complement any camp program and enhance children’s self

esteem.

In 1 short week we challenge your campers to do things beyond their

wildest dreams.

The process of achieving the goal of performing their new-found skills at a

professional level of excellence, teaches young people to stay focused and believe

in themselves.

It’s a life-altering experience.

Provides an activity with a profound effect on kids’ self-esteem.

Creates a bonding opportunity in an event that excites the camp & draws in the community!

It’s a unique opportunity that gives children the unforgettable memory of personal power, triumph and transformation.

To join CIRCUS, campers pre-register at the JCC and sign a waiver at circusofthekids.com

Sunday: ORIENTATION with parents and campers followed by AUDITIONS (no matter what their ability, all children who audition get in)

Monday-Thursday: Rehearsals

Thursday night & Friday: Circus Performances

How it works


SAFETY ISPRIORITY

Skill progressions are used throughout training. We start with the basics and move on when our students have a solid foundation.

We use mats, spotters, nets and safety lines to protect the kids in rehearsals and in performances. Our safety record is outstanding!

Circus receives ticket and advertising proceeds (Child $7 advance / $9 on show day) (Adult $10 advance / $12 on show day)

Performance times: Thursday @ 7 PM & Friday at 10:30 AM and 2 PM

THE 4THINGSYOUPROVIDE


1. A minimum of 50 campers who each pay a $250 registration fee to Circus of the Kids. The JCC charges a surcharge to pay for camp.

2. Access to your gym for 1 week

3. Parking for an RV (our office and living quarters) on the camp grounds close to the gym

4. Room and board for 11 - 15 staff

Professional circus training

10 rehearsal hours (approximate)

The opportunity to display their new skills in an entertaining and professionally styled circus performances

Inclusion under our liability insurance

Costumes for the circus

Q: What about insurance? A: We carry a $1,000,000 liability policy & can add you as an additional insured.

Q: What’s our experience? A: As of October 2012 we’ve created 305 circuses and taught over 532,000 young people.

Q: What’s the best way to handle room and board? A: In many communities, families put us up in spare bedrooms and donate meals.

Q: What about background checks? A: We can provide background check proof on COTK employees.
