Located in Historic Gastown, the teaching salon occupies

a 1200 square foot loft-style space that nurtures a

creative and stimulating working salon environment. Run

of his dream career in hairstyling

and has been a part of the AXIS

team for the past 5 years. Dustin

took a 6 month hiatus in Australia

to work alongside world renowned

her stay in London she attended many

artistic and competitive hair shows

such as Wella’s Trend Vision and

From the age of 14 Brianna always

knew she wanted to become a

hairstylist! With over ten years of

Horror Film Competition! Not only is

Brianna passionate about educating

her students, she is also dedicated

to furthering her own education by

attending advanced Wella Color

exposure to high fashion led her to

realize her true love was in design.

Dawn completed 2 years at London

Guildhall University in the jewelry

background in fashion design and

fashion styling. For Dawn, hair is a

continuation in the study of three

a vision. Her favourite hair cut is the

infinite interpretations of a graduated

for hair and encourages her students

to search beyond their limits and push

their artistic envelope

FEATURED GRADUATESKIM BRENT After graduating in 2008 Kim, a budding entrepreneur,

went on to open her own salon “IDENTITY,” in Sherwood

graduation date and instead of lying on the beach during

spring break, she spent the week renovating her shop to

feel. Kim even recruited JCI graduate Sascha Elgie to open

and run the salon while she finished up her training here at

the college.

SUE CARTER And the WINNER is...Sue Carter! Sue wowed the judges

at the 2006 Contessa Awards taking home the award

finalist on Season 2 of Canadian Superstar Hair Challenge

and finished 6th overall! She’s made use of her new

an exciting adventure and knows it’s not over yet!

CEILIDH COSTELLOFrom a young age, Ceilidh was certain that being a

stylist was the profession for her. Starting her passion

for the industry at the age of 16, Ceilidh worked as

an assistant at Fish Hair Salon in Victoria. After high

school she headed to Vancouver to study at JCI and

upon graduating she began her full-time career with the
