JEFF MOORE

One of the most notable Irish musicians living in the Southwest, Jeff Moore has been playing the guitar and singing since the age of seven and has been studying and performing traditional Irish music for more than a decade. A long-time session musician in Texas, Jeff was one of the founding members of the high-energy Texas Irish band Cluan. He has performed with many regional ensembles, namely The Sarah Dinan Band, Carey Street, Poor Man’s Fortune, Gilmer & Moore, and continues to perform in duets with fiddler Christopher Buckley and flute player Jonathan Milton. Jeff has also had the privilege to accompany national and international traditional musicians such as Joe Burke, Johnny B.Connolly, Jerry Holland, James Keane, James Kelly, Brian McNeill, Ed Miller, Mick Moloney, Mark Stone, John Taylor and John Williams. Jeff has acquired a significant song and tune repertoire of his own which is now the focus of his solo performances and his solo recording “The Dove’s Perch.” Jeff’s distinctive combination of haunting lyrics, rousing flat-picked rhythms and poignant finger-style melodies have drawn praise from audiences from Austin to Boston
