PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES Conduct educational programs and consult with individual farm and ranch families.

• Assist farm and ranch families to evaluate alternative strategies as they strive to manage risks, enhance economic production, select alternative enterprises, manage income taxes, determine organizational structure, and develop legacy/succession/estate plans.

• Collaborate with agricultural economists, range and animal scientists, agronomists, and family and consumer scientists to identify clientele needs, procure funding, and delivery educational programs.

• Collaborate with Extension specialists and agricultural groups across the U.S. to conduct educational programs via on-site presentations and webinars and to develop fact sheets pertaining to risk management.

• Conduct workshops and give presentations to professional organizations and clientele groups. • Develop decision tools and curriculum relevant to the needs of farm and ranch families. • Conduct feasibility studies for potential business ventures. • Have addressed audiences of myriad demographics in Colorado, Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii,

Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, District of Columbia, and Wyoming.

• Have been an invited speaker in Belarus, Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand.

Managed the Southeast Farm Business Association. • Colorado State University’s primary intensive farm management outreach to farmers and ranchers. • Provided education, management counsel, financial analysis services, and tax advice to 65 - 85 farm

and ranch families, annually. • Analyzed personal financial information to help members make non-business investment decisions,

evaluate family living expenditures, and make retirement planning decisions.

Consulted with Byelorussian Agricultural Academy in Gorki, Belarus. • Collaborated with faculties, state farm directors and collective farm chairmen, private farmers, and

students to develop farm management residential instruction and outreach curriculum. • Lectured students and faculty and gave radio and public addresses.

Managed Wyoming Political Action Committee. • Researched Wyoming’s water laws, impacts of water use changes, and water storage projects. • Responsible for acquiring financial support, developing printed media and radio releases, and

speaking at public meetings and to school groups. • Liaison to Wyoming Secretary of State.

Involved in the operation and management of large commercial and purebred cattle ranch located in south central Wyoming and northwestern Colorado.

• From the age of 13, earned wages and benefits and enjoyed increasing levels of responsibilities in range monitoring, irrigation, hay harvesting, animal health, and birthing.

• Earned certificate as artificial insemination technician at age 17. • Exhibited beef cattle and horses at local, county, state, and national livestock shows. • Member of 4-H, FFA, and University of Wyoming livestock judging teams.
