In this modern age, Some people say that it is unnecessary to teach children the skill of handwriting. To what extent do you agree or disagree?TodayNowadays, it seems that young people are less likely to write by pens and pencils thanlike our old generations did before. However, whether it is still important to teach children how to writedo calligraphy has caused a heated debate. Regarding this issue, I think it is definitely important to teach young generations some handwriting skills. On the one hand, if schools can continue to teach students how to write, it will have a positive impact on (ourthe preservation of) cultures. It is true that handwriting skills are an indispensable part of cultures. For example, Chinese characters have been changed in the past 5 thousand years, which is a part of history of this country. Therefore, if students can learn how to write, they might gain an insight (gain an insight does not mean saving the culture) into Chinese culture. (Do not use multiple points in the paragraph.) Also, hopefully this can stimulate students to dig into their cultures. However, some people argue that it is a waste of time to teach children handwriting skills. This is because many people today like to maintain contacts with their family members and friends with telecommunications, which are so convenient and time saving. This is particularly the case for those young people who rarely put pens to paper today. // In addition, some students now like to do assignments or take notes by computers in the lecture. // However, that does not mean that the skill of handwriting is no longer important. More importantly, what we (Avoid the use of we/us/our. The word we means you and me, and in IELTS exam condition, it means you and examiners.) should take into consideration is that could we still have the ability to write words or sentences if our computers got crushed. It is true that handwriting skills were, are and will aways be important in our education systems no matter how the world is changing.(Good use of vocabulary, but unfortunately you have too many points in this paragraph, and the argument seems really unclear. Please break the points into different paragraphs and give supporting evidences for each.)In conclusion, although handwriting skills seem to be less important today, there is no way that such skills will be replaced by telecommunications. In fact, as computers are getting more popular, governments, teachers and parents should pay more attention to handwriting skills.

Task Response5-6- Make your position clear, and do not sit on the fence (means Agree and Disagree at the same time)- Focus on the key words: Handwriting. Character is one part of the culture, but it can also be represented in other forms, such as a printed document, and therefore it is not equivalent to the handwriting. To put it simpler, we can use characters, and characters are important for culture, but we do not have to write it by hand. In this sense, you have not addressed the question.- Give detailed examples, i.e. Where do we use handwriting in real life? Sign the contract, write a love letter or verify the credit card, etc.

Coherence & Cohesion6- Keep one point in each paragraph

Lexical Resources7- Good vocabularies, but you need to stay on topic

Grammatical Range & Accuracy7-8- The accuracy is generally speaking fine.
