A promotional sale at a department store offers 25% off the sale price. The sale price is 25% off the regular price. Is this the same as a sale that offers 50% off the regular price?
Answer: No, if a product is 25% off, then an additional 25%, that is not equal to 50% off. 25% off, then an additional 25% off is equal to 43.75% off.
