Jeopardy Review Competition Guidelines:(Please be sure to take this adventure seriously as it is safety related… remember that safety is our #1 priority, and that safety requires doing as well as knowing…)
As with any class and lab activity, we are simulating guidelines that could be experienced in the “real world” of work.
Scores for all groups will be kept by all participants using the company activity score card located in your worklog packet.
Companies are expected to work together, and must be responsible to establish an atmosphere of professionalism. Any disruptions will ultimately sidetrack the company from its goals, and could result in injury when we move into lab projects and activities. This is not acceptable as an outcome…
When a question is selected, that question will be read aloud once… then the company will have approximately 5 seconds to provide the correct answer.Your group should briefly and quietly discuss the possible answers, then your company President should give the one providing the correct answer. If two answers are given, the company forfeits the round, and the question slides to the next company.
If any company becomes too loud, or creates distractions, then that company will have to make a choice… to either forfeit the round, or will choose to “layoff” one employee who will be sent to the unemployment office. The unemployment office will be a new area, such as Table 0 or a chair in the front or back of the lab, in which these unemployed employees will become a new group answering questions and competing for points.
Jeopardy Review Competition Guidelines (Continued):Company layoffs are temporary for this game, however, are a real possibility for those who are unable to demonstrate that they can focus on their work during routine daily activities.
In a DOUBLE JEOPARDY round, all groups can wager as many points as they have earned to answer the final question correctly. The question will be shown and read aloud, and then points wagered will be requested. The points will be written on the Presidents or designees Company Activity Score Card paper, along with the complete correct answer “word for word”. For those who have successfully written the correct answer “word for word”, the points wagered will be awarded. For those who have answered incorrectly, the wagered points will be deducted, resulting in a final activity score.Upon completion of the Jeopardy Review, the group that scores the highest points will earn 100, then the next group 95, then 90, then 85, then 80, and so on.Have fun and enjoy this adventure!
Activity Follow-up: Those who have experienced being “unemployed” during this activity can return to their respective companies.
Let this experience become a learning activity for you… try to always stay focused on your work, and remember to take your class and lab time seriously, especially when safety is a serious concern and focus.
“The Safety Factor” crossword and quiz worksheets should now be complete, “The Safety Factor” video has been watched, and safety class discussions, as well as safety homework has been done.
We will now begin with computer assignments which will allow us to begin with taking the 6 required “Quizlabs”:-”Technology In Action Review” with 100% Accuracy.-“The Safety Factor” with 100% Accuracy.-”Safety on the Job” with 100% Accuracy.-”Basic Lab Safety” with 100% Accuracy.-”Basic Lab Procedures” with 70% Accuracy… try for 100%.-”Basic PC Care” with 70% Accuracy… try for 100%.
After the above, companies will create a “Claroline” system login, and will then begin with their company work- “Learning Paths” and “Assignments”.
Adapt this file to match your company’s work Module Area(s)…
Change the content (Image & Text) of each slide, just be sure not to change the actual formatting.
If you include a “Safety” section, you are still required to change the content into your own words with revised pictures.
