Electrical Engineer
Self-driven Electrical Engineer with approximately a year of experience with electrical, optical/infrared,
electronic warfare (EW) systems. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Georgia
Southern University with a focus on robotics, electronics, programmable logic devices, and programmable
logic controllers. More than a year’s experience of supervision and management in an avionics shop of 15
Marine electronic technicians. US Citizen, and currently possess a secret clearance issued by DISCO.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
MacAulay-Brown, Warner Robins, GA, October 2014 to present, 40 hours per week
Electrical Engineer
Provides technical support to the field and operates as a liaison between government contractors and end
users. Develops and updates mission data software based on an extensive working knowledge of current
fielded and evolving EW threats. Writes and edits technical operator handbooks in an easy to understand
and thorough manner. Tests and troubleshoots developing software in a lab environment before validating
and reprograming fielded aircraft. Participates in EW flight testing of EW systems to collect data and
validate system effectiveness. Proficient in the use of specialized EW test equipment. Monitors and
provides technical input on Operational Flight Plan software development to ensure appropriate and time
project life cycle updates. Communicates clearly and concisely with a variety of peers, military customers,
contractors, and members of the academic research community.
Was part of a team that developed an organic cost effective solution to modify the Air Force MC-
130J aircraft to reinstall EW system control interfaces to restore lost capabilities. Through this
process a solution was proposed, tested and demonstrated. Contracting was secured and a
contractor has begun drafting needed documentation. In January 2016 the first aircraft is scheduled
to be delivered.
ACE Electric, Statesboro, GA August 2012 to October 2014, 40 hours per week
Electrician’s Apprentice
Repaired electronic controls on equipment
Experienced in reading blueprints
Place electrical conduits inside walls, partitions, ceilings, and other areas
Installed various kinds of electrical equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, outlets, and
switches.
MILITARY EXPERIENCE
United States Marine Corps- Reserves
Guided, managed and worked alongside a shop of 15 Marine electronic technicians. The shop was
responsible for reading and complying with technical data, classified documents. It documented all changes
and services performed on individual aircraft in logs, maintained knowledge of current ground support
equipment, and provided experienced troubleshooting abilities to pilots and other avionic technicians. The
shop also displayed proficiency in isolating and repairing faults in a systematic fashion. The avionic shop
repaired wire bundles and individual wiring malfunctions as well as troubleshot and tested electronic
warfare systems such has radar warning receiver, counter measure dispense systems and infrared counter
measures

FORMAL EDUCATION

PROJECTS
Autonomous Satellite Downlink Receiver System Antenna, 2012
Lead a team of Georgia Southern University’s engineering students to design and construct an affordable
antenna to communicate with low earth orbital satellites. Used Matlab running a genetic algorithm to
simulate antennas to optimize, gain and be effective in dual band (VHF/UHF) conditions. Constructed an
antenna designed from the most ideal fitness function after running a large simulation. We designed custom
printed circuit boards to relay data to and from the computer and microcontroller directing the custom
antenna.
Georgia Southern University’s Journey to the Stratosphere
Worked in a team comprised of the Georgia Southern University’s Dean of Science and Mathematics,
multiple meteorologists, and a filmography team to launch a 3-dimensional version of Georgia Southern
University’s mascot to 102,000 feet. Personally designed a custom circuit to interface with a ground station
to be able to track the weather balloon over long distances in real time using amateur radio. This interface
allowed the team to locate the payload after the flight. Also designed the payload container to withstand
extreme temperatures and impact upon landing. Designed a “remote cut circuit” to disconnect the payload
in event the payload traveled in an unwanted direction.
Robot Ping Pong Champion, 2014 Worked with a team to design and prototype a simplistic, cost effective robot to compete in a game of the
robotic version of “ping pong.” Wrote and debugged code to use Proportional/Integral/Derivative (PID)
logic to guide the robot around the table in a strategic manner while detecting the various stimuli. As well
as engineering the mechanical platform for drive and controller components.
