Last week was a very

busy week. We started

the week with our first

after school music ses-

sion.

These sessions will con-

tinue until the end of

term; however, this week

they will not be on.

On Wednesday, Saman-

tha Morris, visited and

talked to the students

about the three books

that she has written. One

of the books was written

about the town of ?????

We have purchased

these books for our li-

brary.

On Thursday we had the

privilege of the Queens-

land Opera visiting our

school and doing the pro-

duction, Hansel and

Gretel. The classroom

was transformed into a

theatre with an elaborate

backdrop. The perfor-

mance was incredible

with three very talented

performers. Jericho was

even mentioned in the

performance with the line,

“You can’t buy that from

the Jericho Store….well at

least not any more cause

it’s closed down.”

Thursday afternoon stu-

dents participated in an af-

ter-school Tennis and Ten

Pin Bowling Session.

Thank you to Chappy for

providing a fabulous after-

noon tea and for also giving

his time to run the tennis

component of the sessions.

This week we will have re-

viewers in our school look-

ing at our school and dis-

cussing the progress of the

school with me. They will

be meeting with all staff and

the P & C. The review will

assist us in creating a four

year strategic plan that will

focus on priorities for im-

proving learning outcomes

for our students.
