September 22, 2017 Dear Chamber Members & Friends, The Urban Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce we will celebrate our Annual Green Tie Awards (GTA) on Saturday, November 18th at The Aria Hotel & Casino. We invite you to contribute to the success of this event as a sponsor. Help us support, honor and celebrate our local businesses! Our ongoing Urban Chamber motto is “Commerce First!”, and our goal is to “Build Businesses to Build Our Community” by promoting opportunities for business development and job creation. In 2017, we continued our effort to “Go Global!” and aid small businesses in their ability to compete and grow so we will have several success stories to highlight at our event. We will start with a Silent Auction Reception (Cash Bar) at Noon, filled with enticing items to benefit the Scholarship Fund for the Hannah Brown Community Development Corporation. Last year, we were able to award twenty (20) students scholarships that totaled $20,000 through the gracious support of our Silent Auction participants. We want to do that and more, so please continue to support our Silent Auction again this year! Beyond our annual Green Tie Awards celebration of outstanding businesses and their accomplishments, we will be recognizing several Distinguished Award Honorees for their service and achievements within the business community:
