The Jewish Jerusalem is pleased to present its Jewish Jerusalem Fine Art Store featuring the paintings, lithographs, acrylics, oils, mosaics, photographs, prints, and art of some of Israel's most renowned contemporary artists whose works have been displayed in galleries and exposi-tions throughout the world. The artwork encompasses various techniques, styles, and use of media and color from the bold and vibrant to the subdued and subtle. All are powerful, emotionally charged, imaginative and awe-inspiring. The artwork featured in the Jewish Jerusalem Fine Art Store also can be described as inspirational and mystical. The artists' personal experiences are reflected in their work. Many of our artists have been the recipients of awards and honors. Among them are Baruch Nachshon who is a recipient of Bar Ilan University’s Distinguished Artist Award; Yoram Ra'anan's parsha paintings appear every week in the Jerusalem Post and Chabad.org; and Nataly Grosman who was chosen to represent Israel at the 2012 International Festival in Cannes, France, which was hosted by Marina Picasso (Picasso's granddaughter).

The International Young Israel Movement (IYIM) - Israel region works with Israelis across the socio-economic and religio-ethnic spectrum with a focus on Jewish heritage and Jewish identity. Headquartered in Jerusalem IYIM focuses on weaker population groups. These efforts are carried out in a spirit of love and respect for one's fellow Jew, love of one's land and country, respect for Jewish tradition and acknowledgement of Jewish history, all with the underlying spirit of Ahavat Torah and Torat Yisrael. The IYIM - Judaic Heritage Program for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired, operating in 16 cities across Israel, is aimed at enhancing Jewish heritage and tradition among this population which does not always have access to such programs. 2016 highlights include the annual Deaf bar/bat -mitzvah ceremony with 54 participants, the first ever American Sign language Birthright trip, launch of tertiary stipend program, year round festival programming in Deaf clubhouses. re-launch of the Deaf performing troupe, and more. 2016/7 will see the initiation of many new projects to benefit Deaf youth and young adults.

Yoram Raanan's paintings are a modern expression of Jewish collective consciousness. Characterized by intuition and imagination, there is a strong sense of light, color, and spirituality. He is inspired by the bible, nature, and the Land of Israel. Raanan graduated from the University of Arts, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (BFA 1975). He traveled and studied independently throughout Europe and the Near East. In 1977 he settled in Israel and opened his first studio in the Bukharim Quarter in Jerusalem. Since 1994, he has been creating art on his farm in the Judean Hills of the Jerusalem Corridor.

He is married and has 4 children and grandchildren.

"The sensation of creating is a dynamic and exciting process, and it feels especially good because I can share it with others. They can see what I have done and enjoy a vicarious experience."

Moshe Tzvi Berger (1924–2015) founded The Museum of Psalms in Jerusalem in 1995. The museum houses all 150 of his paintings and lithographs, which represent each psalm from a Kabbalistic perspective.

“Berger's color schemes utilize the seven colors of the spectrum, based on the Zohar, the mystical book of Kabbala, and are in-tended to represent the 10 sefirot (mystical aspects of G-d).” Jerusalem Post, 2006

Moshe Tzvi Berger was born in 1924 in Rumania and survived the Holocaust in a work camp. He studied art at the Belle

Arte in Rome and the Beaux Arts in Paris, having received a schol-arship from the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Berger made aliyah in 1992. He started the Psalms series in 1988 and only finished it in 2003.

He has had more than 100 one-man shows on three continents.

Geula Twersky’s art captures the beauty of the Land of Israel and the warmth and vibrancy of Judaism in its many cultural practices as well as the pain she felt as the child of a Holocaust survivor and the euphoria following the Six Day War. Twersky made aliyah from the United States in 2006. She re-

ceived Israel's highest grant award for artistically talented new im-migrants. In 2007 Twersky was chosen to display her works in the Knesset. Nataly Grosman’s paintings aren’t unequivocal. They each contain unlimited variations, revealing something new every moment, in a different way. Nataly pro-vides the viewer with a fascinating and unlimited experience as each layer is full of new scenes and sensations. Grosman was born in Russia in 1969 and immigrated to Israel in 1977. From 2003 on she has exhibited her works internationally in single exhibitions and group exhibitions in museums and galler-ies. She was chosen to represent Israel at the 2012 International Festival in Cannes, France, hosted by Marina Picasso (Picasso's granddaughter).

In her painting there is a clear seal; a unique style and language.

Nataly’s tendency for art begin in early childhood. She touched almost every mate-rial and texture until she developed her unique techniques, techniques of layers that reveal from the inside, like they were the human soul.

After experimenting with different media and styles, Boris Shapiro developed his own naive-like style based on 16th -17th century Dutch school, like that of great Dutch master Petre Broegel. With his beautiful painting he expresses his own humor, irony and simplicity of life. The portraits of 17th century people are whimsical; the colors are the usual earth tones, symbolizing the down to earthiness of everyday life. Boris Shapiro was born in 1968 in Lvov, in the Ukraine. He studied at the school of fine arts in his native city. In 1991, Shapiro immigrated to Israel and joined the Beer Sheva College of art. He has exhibited his work in solo and group exhibitions in Panama, Israel, Paris, Great Britain, the United States, France, the Netherlands and Belgium.

“Birds are the ultimate witness to human experience. Always able to escape, watching from overhead they are present in moments of terror, moments of love.

“Symbolizing peace, freedom, death, birth - all the major themes of human experi-ence. Inspiring mankind to fly.
