Our Thriller Idea.

Narrative - OpeningAs the girls of flat G - Lauren, Jess, Katie, Pip, Abby, Steph and

Naomi are having pre drinks before a huge university party, they realise Abby has not come back from her cigarette. The girls go looking for her but they realise she is no where to be seen, they return to her room where they find a envelope which read ‘open, if you want her back’ as they open up the envelope and pull out the letter, they see a photo of one of there biggest secrets which is them accidentally setting fire to the local student Union Bar, with ‘I have your friend, tell anyone and she dies, I am always watching.’ The girls start to panic and decide they have no choice but to keep it a secret if they want there friend back, but one friend doesn’t want to sit by and watch nothing being done, she decides to call the police but as she asks for police a email pops up on the computer. They open up the email to find a picture of Abby dead, they scroll down to find ‘I know everything, Do as I say and you wont die’

NarrativeThroughout the film the girls start to get blackmailed by this mysterious person with the

secrets they have.

When the group discover each others secrets by this person they soon turn against each other and out for revenge, Lauren Kills Steph for sleeping with her boyfriend, and fights Naomi for selling her little brother drugs. Katie kills Naomi but frames Lauren, but Lauren gets killed. Whilst Pip, Katie and Jess find out the rest of them have been killed they try to figure out what they are going to do, and they reveal the secrets which have been used to blackmail them, when Jess reveals her secret about setting fire to the Student Union Bar and blamed it on the rest, she then reveals she knows where Abby is, Which is the moment she walks in and is not dead. This is when they reveal why they did this which is because they were lying about being rich and wanted to just fit in but when they were fed up of the lies they came up with this plan to frame them for trying to kill Abby and Jess. When they stab Katie and Pip, Jess tells Abby she has to die to because they both cant have the fame from surviving this, she kills Abby and try’s to stab herself to look like she got stabbed by someone. But Pip wasn’t killed which she wakes up and hits Jess over the head with a lamp, and calls the police.

Narrative -Opening

To start the opening sequence we will film up here, to establish where we

are.

We will then follow round this corner into the building, to start the first talking scene.

During this we will have the

opening titles will appear.

Sub Genre and Conventions.

Our film sequence is going to be a Mystery Thriller because throughout the opening the audience will not know who the antagonist is.

The Main antagonists are going to be Jess and Abby because they came up with the plan to kill the girls, but Lauren, Katie, Steph and Naomi are too.

The main Protagonist is Pip because she didn’t hurt anyone except for Jess and calling the police before getting framed.

Location• We will be going to Lauren’s

Sister Katie’s University in Southampton. It is very reliable and safe. The location fits in with story line and works with the sub-genre because it has a bit of reality as it is set at a university.

Individual Roles.When producing our production we will have

our own jobs.

Lauren & Jessica will film the out side parts. They also will star in the opening sequence,

which means they will only film the parts they are not in.

Evie will film all the scenes inside the university.

Editing will be done by all three of us.

Sound and Lighting.

To start the scene we will use sounds to create a soundtrack which will be played when we our outside. Inside we will use another soundtrack because they are having pre drinks and we want to create it realistic And when they discover Abby is missing we will just have natural sounds and some special effect sounds.

The lighting will be natural to create a realistic atmosphere during the outside filming process. However when we are filming inside all the lighting will be artificial.

BBFCFor our film we will target it girls because

it is a much girlie film as it is has a large girl cast, also it will have a rating of 15,

which means only 15 year olds and older can watch it, this is because it will have a lot of strong language, nudity, blood and dangerous behaviour which could be repeated by young people.
