The Best Friend

Think about your best friend?

Who is your best friend and why?

What do you do with your best friend?

Who do you think loves to be the best friend of children?

If you could spend a whole day with Jesus. Where would you go and what would you like to do?

People Ask Jesus

One day many people were gathered around Jesus asking him very difficult questions.

Questions like who will be the greatest in heaven and who can cast out devils?

Something Important

Jesus was very busy giving answers to these hard questions, when suddenly, he stopped.

Something was happening that Jesus believed was more important than these questions.

What was it? …what could be more important?

Parents Bringing the children to Jesus

He saw some parents bringing their children to Jesus so he could touch them and bless them.

The disciples told them not to bother Jesus.

But when Jesus saw what was happening, he was very upset with his disciples.

Let the Children Come to Me

He said to them, “Let the children come to me and do not forbid them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

Then Jesus took the children into his arms and blessed them.

Conclusions

Why Jesus stopped? He felt that spending time with children was more important than answering these questions.

How do you think Jesus feels when we do not spend time with Him because there are more important things to do like…..watch tv, play video games, talk with our friends.

Jesus Christ loves me and I should love Him too. When we pray we should tell Him how much we love Him.

Ask Yourself

How else do we know Jesus loves us? Jesus died on the cross for us.

How would you feel if you were one of those children in Jesus’ arms? Do you know He has His arms

around you right now?

How can we tell Jesus we love Him? We spend time with Him praying

and telling Him how much we love Him.
