As well as delivering the whole Chinese themed events, show,demonstrations and other activities for The Galleria we also co-ordinated performers and shows for a second client running ChineseNew Year parades and performances outside on Al Maryah Island itself.We designed all of the costumes and show sets ourselves with teammembers making a visit to Beijing to obtain authentic props, costumematerials and items for the childrens’ activities. The event wasreviewed in the national press and along with similar events TheGalleria is developing a reputation for stunning entertainment whichincreases footfall.

OBJECTIVES

The Galleria at Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi asked usto create a week long event to mark Chinese New Year2016. The highlight of the event was a visit by theChinese Ambassador to the UAE.

SOLUTION

At short notice, we sourced professional Chinese performers, acrobats, artists anddancers to take part in this fabulous week of events culminating with shows from theCirque Shangahi acrobatic troupe who performed one show in the presence of theChinese Ambassador to the UAE as well as the Directors of The Galleria.

We delivered additional events including a Christmas TreeLighting Ceremony, mall décor and a “Nutcracker Suite” roamingshow Although we were invited to start work on this event inOctober we managed to fill all the vendor stalls quickly andcreated local community interest by inviting local choirs fromschools and clubs to take part in the music sessions. This createdan increased footfall as well as introducing new visitors who willhopefully become regular customers.

OBJECTIVES

The Galleria at Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabiasked us to create a Winter Fair during Decemberand January 2015/16.

SOLUTION

We designed a winter wonderland with traditional German market stalls, live music ,Santa Claus and winter activities and other entertainment. The show lasted for 37consecutive days and we project managed and delivered the whole event as well asthe mall décor and ongoing entertainment.

A seemingly straightforward event, it still involved meticulousplanning and liaison with the Mall, their VVIP guest’srepresentative and ensuring every thing was in place from thewelcome host party to the ribbon and décor when the CEOarrived. Lulu Mall in Fujairah wanted to launch and promote theirbrands and retailers’ Autumn and Winter 2015 collectionsthrough a family fashion show.

SOLUTION

We designed the fashion show including the music, choreography andproviding models and creating the make-up. We liaised with all theretailers regarding delivery and display of their collections.

Cavalli Club approached John Fredy Creative around 18 monthsago. The club wanted to create a unique, one-off performanceas part of its DJ Bob Sinclair weekend.

SOLUTION

We put together a bespoke show based on “Moulin Rouge” withcostumes and dance routines especially for Cavalli and withphotographs which ensured media interest.

John Fredy Creative scripts, designs andchoreographs many of our own shows for variousclients. Our Magical Box Ballerina show combiningclassical ballet techniques with contemporarychoreography and music, this fusion performanceproved to be a huge hit with audiences in shoppingmalls. This spectacular show tells the story of how asoldier falls in love with a toy ballerina. The solider isasked to look after a toy shop but is under strictinstructions not to open one specific box. However,his curiosity gets the better of him and he ismesmerized by the beautiful box ballerina who'sdance captivates him but leaves him sad as they cannever be together…or maybe magic will changetheir fate?

OBJECTIVES

The Address Hotel asked us to create a Renaissanced-themed eventfor their directors and staff. The event was to reward and entertaineveryone and allow the directors to offer their thanks to all membersof staff.

SOLUTION

As well as creating the themed event we created a realistic atmosphereby making authentic costumes and accessories and created a VVIPexperience for guests to have their hair and make up done by artists incostume. In addition we choreographed a 17th century dance for thesenior team to perform for their employees.

We added some extra special touches by including arenaissance style human table where attendees would collecttheir own masquerade mask upon arrival. In addition we createda ballet performance by professional dancers. Members of VidaHotel were also at the event and asked us to create a party forthem as well.

John Fredy is a classically trained ballet and latin dancer and professional hair and make-up artist, whospecialises in creative and special effects costumes and make-up.

As co-founder of John Fredy Creative he spearheads the shows and entertainment teams, creating performanceshows to both the clients’ brief and new and innovative shows for the wide range of audiences ranging frombrand activations for malls, corporate awards nights and nightclub and restaurant entertainment.

As a dancer he holds qualifications from numerous international ballet schools and creates our dance shows andballet performances as well as designing the staging and costumes.

Before starting John Fredy Creative, John Fredy was involved with the Colombian Fashion Week and ColombianTV Networks.

Ben has a background in experiential marketing and product launch creation, confidently working withinternational artists and behind-the -scenes professionals.

In the UK he worked on numerous brand campaigns for leading companies. He has always had a passion forevents and now combines his considerable marketing expertise with creating shows, events and concepts forJohn Fredy Creative’s clients.

Over the past two years Ben has been instrumental in developing John Fredy Creative and positioning its eventand project management expertise . Katherine Hersey-Meade has more than twenty years’ experience in the events industry bothas an events director and marketing and business development consultant. Katherine joinedJohn Fredy Creative in May 2015 to develop the brand and raise the profile of the companyand is responsible for our regular newsletters, presentations and other marketing activities.

Based in our UK office, Katherine heads up our event planning activities in the UK and Europe.Katherine is a past winner of the International Visual Communications Association EducationalEvent award for her role as Project Director the New Zealand Memorial in London dedicationceremony at Hyde Park Corner in November 2006.

Sam is UK based but often works in the UAE. She has experience in experiential marketingcampaigns and has worked for various high end brand campaigns over the past 10 years.

Sam is expert at helping our clients secure the right member of staff for their brand orpromotional event and joined John Fredy Creative to assist in our event and promotional staffservice as well as working as an event manager in both the UK and Dubai.
