Foreign Object Debris Remediation of Spalled Concrete in the Jetway

• ALL-TECH SOLUTIONS has perfected a methodology of repairing concrete spalls and broken concrete slabs that pose a FOD threat in the gate area and jetway.

• Using FastPatch, made by Willamette Valley Company, and a discipline of proper concrete repair principles, ALL-TECH is reducing risk and extending the service life of the concrete infrastructure.

• Many gate areas and jetways are faced withthese types of defects.

• The following slides explain the repair process.

• Surface preparation is the key to a permanent repair.

• These steps include

– saw cutting the outer boundary of the defective area tocreate a minimum 1 inch vertical wall to lock in the FastPatch Repair

– vacuuming the dust and fines

– Insertion of rebar (when needed)

– Priming the defective area to increase adhesion to theFastPatch polymer

– Gravel Insertion in deep zones helping to increasecompression
