Bristol works well as a city of innovation
So we built our own city centre fibre back bone network to support new generation technology research
and experimentation
What have we learnt?
• Testing the Technology helped us understand the capability
• It takes longer than you think
• We need to think about the explosion of Wireless connectivity at a city wide level
• We need to put the PEOPLE first and forefront
• We need to START with the problems, not the technology
• We need to the put the ETHICS and PRIVACY at the heart of each project
• We need to understand the key BUSINESS CASE
• We need to collaborate to achieve Smarter ways to make our city work
• We can not do this alone
