Jimena de la Frontera is a sizeable village with over 9,000 inhabitants with shops, banks, bars and restaurants. The area around Jimena is picturesque and varied with fertile valleys, orange groves, cork forests and mountains. Thirty minutes away is the international community at Sotogrande with its championship golf courses, hotels, restaurants, beaches and a range of sporting facilities that include tennis and polo.
