1.0 GENERAL

This document defines the general rules according to which materials ordered from vendors by JNK India Pvt Ltd or on behalf of its client shall be inspected and checked. The Inspection Department of JNK India Pvt Ltd conducts, or may have any organize of its choice to conduct, expedite and the technical approval of materials with Vendors and their Sub-suppliers / sub-contractors. However, the systematic expediting of the latter is an obligation of the main vendor on whom the order is placed. 2.0 INSPECTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The expediting and inspection of materials shall be conducted through visits, phone calls and E-mails to the Vendor and their Sub-suppliers / sub-contractors. The latter therefore shall afford to JNK India Pvt Ltd's and the client's representatives free entry to their Offices, shops and facilities where the work is being performed and offer them all facilities to conduct their duties. They shall particularly make available, at no cost, all time and means as required to check the commercial and technical clauses as well as the work process, and to control the tests which are planned to be carry out. The inspection may be progressive, final or waived (waiver In writing), the acceptance of the material depends on the sending and the positive examination of the required certificates.

2.1 First contacts

After award of the order, JNK India Pvt Ltd's representatives reserve themselves the right to make an initial visit to the Vendor, during which an overall survey of the measures provided for carrying out the order shall be made.



The following points shall more particularly be examined with the Vendor's representatives:

• Technical and administrative documents in possession of the departments concerned.

• Forwarding of acknowledgement of receipt to JNK India Pvt Ltd. • Shop working drawings to be referred to JNK India Pvt Ltd for approval. • Procurement of basic materials or sub-assemblies, the unpriced sub-orders of

which shall be forwarded to JNK India Pvt Ltd as agreed in the order and for the control of which JNK India Pvt Ltd reserves the right to be present, where necessary.

• Construction schedule, fabrication, control procedures, availability in the shops or on site.

• Quality control plan defining the activities conducted by the JNK India Pvt Ltd Inspection Department and their client.

• Miscellaneous questions concerning more particularly such items as packing and transportation. • Definition of documents required for the manufacturer file.

In the case of JNK India Pvt Ltd consider that such a visit is not necessary, an expediting by Phone or mail will be forwarded to the Vendor reminding the documents to be supplied as mentioned in the order or its appendixes.

2.2 Inspection during fabrication

During subsequent visits, phone calls and correspondence, JNK India Pvt Ltd shall check the right development of the order according to contract documents. In the case of events which can affect the quality and the respect of final delays, the Vendor must advise JNK India Pvt Ltd immediately.

2.3 Advise inspection notice

2.3.1 For all or partial equipment inspection, the Vendor or his sub-contractor shall inform the JNK India Pvt Ltd Expediting /Quality Department by letter or by e-mail & The advice inspection notice shall mention the following data.

JNK India Pvt Ltd order number, Date and place of inspection, Detail of material to be inspected and/or test to be carried out. JNK India Pvt Ltd Inspection Department may only guarantee that the visits, tests and inspections to be carried out shall actually take place during the course of a



particular week, if it is notified before 5 PM on the Thursday of the week preceding the considered date.

2.3.2 For fabricated parts, such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, heaters, convection modules, boilers, etc., the Vendor shall notify date on which actual fabrication is starting in the shop. Depending on the Quality Control Plan, the Inspection Coordinator may arrange directly with the shop the schedule of future visits. Final inspection notice shall however be addressed to JNK India Pvt Ltd.

2.3.3 For raw materials such as tubes, flanges, plates, forgings, castings, fittings, Electrical & instrumentation items, and other materials for which JNK India Pvt Ltd should not carry out regular controls, total or partial inspection, notices shall be forwarded to JNK India Pvt Ltd in accordance with the conditions defined above. JNK India Pvt Ltd may decide to waive the inspection. Such actions does not relieve the responsibility of the Vendor with regard to the quality and conformity of the dispatched equipment and to the obligation of providing the corresponding certificates mentioned in the relevant order.

2.4 Final inspection

2.4.1 Except otherwise notification, the equipment or material shall be presented to the JNK India Pvt Ltd inspector or their appointed TPIA, prior to painting and preparation for shipment.

2.4.2 The Vendor shall insure of easy access to material in order to let the Inspector proceed, in good conditions, to required controls such as visual, dimensional, marking, surface finish, quantitative etc...

2.4.3 No release note shall be issued if the Manufacturer record book has not been duly reviewed by the JNK India Pvt Ltd Inspector or their appointed TPIA. 3.0MATERIAL ACCEPTANCE AND SHIPMENT

No shipment shall take place without the formal approval of JNK India Pvt Ltd (release note). Where the equipment shall be accepted as conforming the material certificates and other documents by the Inspector, a packing and shipping instruction will be issued by JNK India Pvt Ltd to the Vendor.

4.0REJECTION OF MATERIAL

The JNK India Pvt Ltd Inspector or their appointed TPIA is empowered to reject any material which does not strictly conform to the qualities and sizes as provided in the plans and technical specifications.



The Vendor shall then immediately do his utmost to have the material overhauled and present it again to the Inspector. Vendor shall notify a new date for the final approval, which shall be confirmed to JNK India Pvt Ltd. Where the material cannot be finally approved, the Inspector shall issue a non-Conformance Report

5.0 MANUFACTURING RECORD BOOK.

5.1 It contains all the construction and reception documents specific to each equipment. These documents shall be filed in a biding title "Manufacturing record book".

5.2 The presentation as well as the content of the Manufacturing record book shall be submitted to JNK India Pvt Ltd approval.

5.3 The number of copies of complete files is defined in the Purchase order shall never be less than one original, Five Hard Copies and 2 Soft copies on CD.

5.4 The complete files shall be forwarded under separate cover, to JNK India Pvt Ltd Inspection Department.
