Mechatronics is seeking an energetic self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit to assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of automated control systems for complex amusement rides. This includes sensor installation, computer setup, network configuration, system testing and customer technical training. This is a key role that ensures that new rides attain a technical design advantage that meet the high quality standards set forth by the company. International travel will be a significant part of the role. The Installation Technologist will be involved in projects from their initial design stage through to customer handover on-site with responsibility for ensuring that ride control systems are performing to the customer’s satisfaction and have been installed and certified to all safety requirements. Essential Responsibilities The Installation Technologist will be responsible for the following:

Field wiring, software installation, testing and commissioning of interactive rides (travel required)

Purpose

Senior Attraction Install Advisors consult clients and their construction teams regarding

install processes of attractions on large scale Waterpark and Attractions projects, overseeing

site operations on a day-to-day basis, and ensuring that work is done on time and in

conformance with engineering drawings as well as company and industry standards.

The Senior Attraction Install Advisor will have a commercial understanding of the project and

represent the company in a professional and proactive manner in all dealings with those

associated with the project on all management levels. The Senior Attraction Install Advisor

will lead corporate tasks regarding training and mentoring of new hires, starting and

implementing of CI initiatives and field task forces for product improvement and

development.

Essential Responsibilities

The Senior Attraction Install Advisor will be responsible for the following:

Works closely with the Project Manager to plan the project effectively, by ensuring that the project requirements, specification, drawings, country and site specific conditions are all read, understood and that a project construction plan is in place.

Advises clients, subcontractors and internal/externals project managers regarding the best installation practices of Waterpark and Attractions equipment supplied by the company in conformance with engineering drawings as well as company and industry standards

Strives for Customer Service Excellence and acting as the primary on-site liaison between the client and the company

Communicates effectively at all times with the client, client’s representative, project architect, project engineer, local authorities and all persons affected by the project, representing the company with professionalism, integrity and honesty.

Develops a labour schedule in conjunction with the project manager and supervisor/project manager of our customer to ensure subcontractors are placed or local/customers labour force are available in time to meet the program. Maintain the schedule and track progress, attending site and project meetings and keeping records on file.

Reporting of daily activity, including timecards and expenses, and progress on site to the applicable project manager and construction manager.

Practice 5S on site – Sort, Straighten Out, Shine, Standardize and Sustain the practice

Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including new employee training, develop training plans and perform training sessions to other team members of the construction department.

Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among site project members

Execute responsibilities according to lawful and ethical standards within the country where work is performed.

Build and improve company knowledge database regarding install manuals, install bulletins, technical specifications.

Continuous improvement of self and team.

Fosters a culture and leads the development/sustenance of Continuous Improvement and Lean philosophies.

Maintain a healthy work environment by encouraging a team atmosphere working toward common goals and objectives and maintaining employee morale through ensuring company values and initiatives are communicated consistency and integrated throughout the organization.

The Reefer Technician will be based out of our Vancouver terminal which is located at 25

Capilano Way, New Westminster, British Columbia, V3L 5G3. Depending on the nature of the

service required, the Reefer Technician will be primarily stationed in an indoor environment,

working in the shop terminal. In some cases, work may be required in our Vancouver

terminal yard. Occasional travel may be required to tend to on-the-road breakdowns. This

position will be dealing directly with Drivers and reports to the Vancouver terminal Shop

Manager.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a motivated and conscientious team player capable of
