Job Description + Impact Law Ventures (ILV) is looking to hire 1 (one) corporate transactional lawyer each for its Delhi and Mumbai offices.
+ Candidates should be innovative and ambitious and with a strong desire to
develop into all-round legal professionals of excellence. + As part of a fast growing and young law firm, selected candidates will have the
opportunity to be involved in all aspects of growing, managing and developing a law practice, with the aid of constant mentoring by ILV lawyers combined with performance based financial and professional incentives.
About Us + ILV is well known as one of the go-to law firms in India for early stage
entrepreneurs, social enterprises and early stage / impact investors. Apart from ILV’s strong corporate practice, ILV offers substantial opportunities in new practice areas that the firm is looking to grow, such as policy and regulatory practice, banking and finance and public private partnerships.
+ ILV was founded in New Delhi in early 2011 by Pankaj Jain, a corporate lawyer
who worked with Acumen Fund and AZB & Partners after having graduated from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. ILV’s office in Mumbai was founded in mid 2012 by Suhas Baliga, who previously worked in private practice (Luthra & Luthra and Trilegal) after having graduated from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
Requirements
+ Qualified to practice law in India: at least PQE1. + Should be imaginative, entrepreneurial and self-motivated with willingness to
work in a start-up work environment. + Strong personal and professional integrity, sense of ethic and commitment to
serve. + Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail. + Proficiency in communicating in English, willingness to learn, excellent

+ The retainer arrangement will necessarily involve the following: (a) visibility on
expectations and career track; (b) annual performance targets and incentives; (c) a competitive monthly retainer amount to be determined based on the candidate’s prior experience and performance during the probation period.
