    JOB SPECIFICATION & DESCRIPTION:

    Qualifications Required: Techno-commercial background

    (Mining Engineer/ Mech. Engineer + MBA Preferable)

    Experience Required: Cross-functional (Mining, Plant Operations and Sales)

    7 to 8 years

    Summary of the Job:

    Managers have to oversee organisational and operational services at the plant. The main role

    is to plan, administer and review the manufacturing activities at the plant to optimise resource

    use, minimise costs and maintain quality standards. . The incumbent shall have full P& L

    responsibility for the plant. In addition, in co-operation with staff, the position shall beresponsible for administrative functions including accounting, credit and human resources as

    well as internal and external communication. Also coordinate development activities within

    the area.

    Key Result Areas:

    Safety

    Provide leadership to instill Safety Culture.

    Coordinate with the Central Safety Team. To create awareness among the employees for near misses reporting. Undertake other initiatives to drive safety awareness such as Safety Week.

    Statutory Compliance

    Reconciliation of Royalty passes and monthly returns to Geology & Mines Dept. To follow guidelines given by the different Govt. Departments. Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Return to DGMS/Explosive Dept. /State Govt. /Labour

    Act.

    Renewal of Licenses Mining Lease/Explosive Magazine/ANFO MixingShed/ANFO Shed/Factory License/Explosive Van/ MDR etc.

    Renewal of Permission Panchayat/PCB/DGMS.

    Business Operations:

    Manager will be responsible for

    Quarry Operations. Transportation from Quarry to Crusher. Crusher Operations. Inventory (Finish product/Raw Material/Spares) Loading of Finish Product. Logistics from site to customer (Internal/External) Create and develop network of customers to tap business opportunities. Identify and drive a clear commercial strategy utilizing key tools such as - Market

    study, Strategic framework analysis & customer segmentation studies etc.

    Cost Control.Trading Operations

    Develop the strategy for the trading operations in the region. Management of the vendors for trading operations in the region. Identifying and selection of new vendors for trading.

    Customer Relations

    Meeting customers on a regular basis with a view to identify opportunities. Understand customer requirements and issues in terms of quality, service, dispatch

    etc. and reconcile the same with operations.

    Develop a system to measure customer satisfaction and the standard of customerservice.

    Management meetings

    Participate and contribute to management meetings for review of business in the Area Prepare for / participate in Strategic Review, Budget processes. Develop Outlooks / business plans. This activity is performed thrice a year with

    regular reviews.People Management

    Provide support to HR in identifying talent in the industry to build the teams. Provide support to HR in identifying high potential employees within the team.

    Administrative Functions Approve the travel plans for employees in the Area. Approve of leave plans for employees. Ensure timely completion of goals setting for employees in the Area. Ensure timely completion of annual appraisals for the team members. Approve expenses claims of the sub-ordinates. Signing requisition for CP. Signing of Daily Report of Stores Inventory.

    [Note: Sr. No. 5 & 6 needs approval by Sr. Manager with Separate Letter.]

    Management Cycle MIS Reporting on business operations.

    Prepare budget for the plant and undertake reviews on a periodic basis. Plan to align own objectives with those of the BU.

    Networking

    Liasioning with government authorities for various approvals. Liasioning with statutory bodies to ensure statutory requirements are fulfilled and up-

    to-date.
