International Clinical Trials (ICT) is a specialist journal designed to provide global coverage of key topics pertinent to the clinical trials sector.

Published quarterly, and edited by Dr Graham Hughes, the journal offers a platform of communication and information-sharing for executive and strategic decision-makers, seeking out new trends and marketing opportunities, as well as putting a spotlight on the latest innovations coming to market. ICT is specifically designed to be of interest to those actively seeking to source services for improved efficiency in what is an increasingly competitive market.

It achieves this by publishing a comprehensive collection of articles written by prominent figures spanning the clinical trials arena. Editorial integrityInternational Clinical Trials is committed to providing its readers with objective articles that tackle the themes of the day. Every article goes through the editing process in order to maintain our impartiality.

ICT is always keen to hear from you with ideas for features. Let us know if you want to provide an article (typically 1,500 and 2,500 words) – simply email a synopsis (100-200 words) of your proposed subject to the editorial team. Please note that due to various constraints, editorial topics on the calendar may alter and articles commissioned for one issue may be postponed until a later issue.

Editorial Guidelines

www.samedanltd.com

Articles included in International Clinical Trials vary between 1,500 and 2,500 words in length, and are usually accompanied by whatever visual materials (photographs, diagrams, graphs and so on) the author is able to provide.

The absolute prerequisite of unpaid articles in ICT is that they are non-promotional contributions. We are looking for objective discussion of the author’s particular subject as opposed to information regarding their company’s activities or services. We are happy for the author to write on any aspects they consider pertinent or of particular interest, and we

by-line the author and the company concerned. All articles go through our thorough editing process to ensure accuracy and consistency, so your article may differ from the original text sent.

So that we have an idea of the direction you intend to take, we ask for a short synopsis (100-200 words) of your proposed subject. This helps to avoid disappointment should the same topic be tackled by more than one contributor. Please note that due to various constraints, it sometimes happens that articles commissioned for one issue have to be postponed until a later issue.

What to send• Text in an unformatted Word document should be emailed as an attachment.• A contact email address for the author(s) is also required that can be printed at the end of the article.• Please include a short biography (100-150 words) about the career and education of the author(s). • We prefer to include pictures of any author(s) with each biography. This, along with any images or diagrams,

can be emailed as jpeg, tiff or eps files of at least 300 dpi at the size they are to be used.• A note on references – please supply references in the following format:

1. Name AB, Name BC, Name CD and Name DE, Paper Title, Journal xx: pp xxx-xxx, 20072. Name EF, Name FG, Name GH and Name HI, Paper Title, Journal xx: pp xxx-xxx, 2007Their position in the text should be marked by: (1), (2) etc. Please try to keep references to a minimum – we can only publish more than 20 references per article in exceptional circumstances.

What happens nextBefore publishing your article, we send by email a low res PDF of the final design proof to check and give written approval for. This takes place in the week before the issue goes to print and it is important that you or a colleague is available during this time to approve the article. In the interests of accuracy, we never run an article without final written approval of the design proof.
