n He was born on July the 27th 1952 in Montclair, New Jersey
n He got his bachelor from the S.I. Nuwhouse School of Public Communications at Syracause University
n He first started as a staff photographer in LIFE Magazine
n He won the Alfred Eisenstaedt Award for Journalistic Impact
n He has been honored by Communication Arts, PDN, Graphis, American Photo, POY, and The World Press Photo Foundation.
n He has been working for the National Geographic Society since 1987
n He satisfactorily crossed the bridge from phtojournalism to advertisement. Adidas, EPSON, MetLife, General Electric no name a few

It all started wiht a little conversation about his work and he said some things that I really enjoyed, mostly because I could relate to them.
+ He said …
-…that photographs were footsepts, trails in our lifeline. -...it was a way to show our world to people. -...photography allowed us to create images, memories, history. -…in fact thanks to photography we were able to record history.
+ Also…
-…the influences we had had as a child affected us, in the way we saw the world
-...we should not have unrealistic expectations about what we wanted to do
-...and for photographer to make histories about the photos was not rocket science
-...it was important to have an active imagination

The photo was about a gymnast who had raised in a place where corn was cultivated.
+-We were in the Golden Age of the photography -The dinamic flash pressed everything to the middle -The automatic camera almost did everything for you -The camera did the good or difficult job -The eye was programmed to go where the light went
+ Joe showed us how to take a proper photo with flashes in the auditorium
+ I did a little research about Joe’s work and my favourite
photos were this
