JOEY FATTS | 36BRICKHOUSE BIOGRAPHY: Joey Fatts was born in Long Beach, California on August 3rd, 1991. As an adolescent, Joey attended Mckinley Elementary, Butler Middle School, and Jordan High School in Long Beach, CA. Joey is the youngest of his mother’s 4 children. At the age of 15, Fatts moved out of his mother’s house from San Fernando Valley to Long Beach, where he found interest in playing football, a sport in which he hoped to eventually make his profession. Things quickly went downhill, however, as Joey began gangbanging with his friends and by the 12th grade was arrested for robberyleaving the sport completely out of the picture. It was his cousin, Vince Staples, an aspiring rapper, who introduced Joey to the aspect of curating music. Joey eventually learned that he had a knack of rhyming, telling a chronicle of the journeys he’d been through whilst on the streets. Hiphop quickly became Joey’s new hobby, but instrumentals didn’t impact his inbox at a rate that made him content, so he started curating soundscapes of his own. Multiple doors started continuously opening for the man who just months before had nowhere to turn. Joey spruced up a beat tape containing three of his original productions, he then graced the project to a friend of his who was a close affiliate of the A$AP Mob. Soon after, while sleeping on a cot in a garage at his friend A$ton Matthews’ house, he received a call from A$AP Rocky that would change his life. In May of 2014, Joey Fatts signed with Waka Flocka Flame’s management
