Personal Statement
I am a hardworking, flexible, analytical and structured person with an eye for detail and a sound personal
grounding in Health and Safety. I am career orientated, always with an eye towards progression via continuous
improvement, with my main aim being always to build and maintain high standards, morale and efficient working
for me and my team, in any role I undertake
I have excellent PC and IT skills, confidently proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft
PowerPoint in particular and I am very confident in my ability to work and help adapt for a more productive use,
any warehouse management system I am asked to use.
I was a Special Constable with Warwickshire Police Constabulary for 6 years from 2006 – 2012, working this role
voluntary alongside my full time role and carried out the normal duties expected of a fully trained police officer,
including maintaining calmness, interviewing investigations and dealing with conflict

Being part of implementation and project teams I have used skills, knowledge and experience gained
implement ideas and solutions that have then showed business improvements and then been used as a tester

Operations Development Manager
Responsibilities / Achievements
Project lead on various projects with main emphasis on Stock Management before and after entering the
building and subsequent Stock Accuracy improvements within the 85,000sq ft. operation
Implement processes and procedures aimed at improving efficiencies across all aspects of the operation
As part of a specific skilled project team, implemented a new Warehouse Management System (Microsoft Nav
Dynamics) to replace a previous antiquated one
Implement development plan for staff and first line managers with regards NVQ training via external supplier
Developed relationships with key stakeholders across the business to improve flow of stock through the
business and out to wholesale / distributors.
Implemented a new Goods in Process that reduced & saved substantial costs of circa £5000p/m
Implemented weekly meetings with the senior management team to discuss week gone and week coming up
with aim to get each department working together. This was implemented alongside daily meetings for the
Team Leaders to encourage cooperation, communication and comparative compliance across the operation
Successfully setup and implemented NVQ for various members of the team across many areas of the
business
Designed various reports in place and in use to help with storage, stock management as well as reviewed and
re-wrote various SOP’s for the business to make them more current and actual.
Reduced compensation to suppliers from £125,000 to £10,000 within two years following better stock
management.

Responsibilities / Achievements
Manage entire 100,000sq ft. warehouse distribution operation incorporating 3 Shift Managers, 8 FLM’s and
circa 80-120 warehouse operatives seasonally at the NDC.
Implemented robust processes and procedures with an aim to continually improve the operation with better
communication, management reporting, staff management, ever evolving KPI’s and continuously improve high
HSE standards across the entire site
Budgetary responsibility for department costs for budget circa £7.7m per annum
Responsible for the successful despatch to 330+ stores nationally, twice weekly guaranteeing next day
delivery on all orders placed before 12:00
Implemented and instigated better communication outputs across operation for all members of the team
Instigated and implemented a far superior incident investigation process including better reports and trained all
managers, with aim to improve standards and a remedial process to improve reoccurrence
Implemented 5S into operation to make it lean and more efficient, incorporating better hygiene and working
standards with aim to continuously improve operation.

NDC Shift Manager
Responsibilities / Achievements
Manage between 50-120 staff seasonally across the dual building 500,000Sq ft. manual and a fully automated
warehouse operation at the Wolseley NDC
Put in place robust structures with the aim to continually improve the operation KPI’s via communication, staff
management, management reporting and HSE matters.
Report on a daily and weekly basis to senior management detailing productivity, sickness & absence levels
and achievement of warehouse KPI’s
Managed the fact that there is no Systems cover on night by being responsible for any system incidents that
arise and problem solve as much as possible to resolve issue.
Maintain 5S areas and extremely high HSE standards across the entire site
Successfully implemented a full productive and fully developed Night shift capable of carrying out any duties
required in the warehouse operation including implementing a Perpetual Inventory team that kept stock levels
at 99.2% accurate.
I was the recognised expert on recording incidents and accident investigation, in as much that my template for
investigation and reporting was implemented and used at all the 4 NDC’s nationally.
Implemented Night-time Lock Box deliveries to allow stock to be available sooner to store
