¡Hola! Me llamo Srta. Stoch.

Something things about me….I graduated from Saint Xavier University with my Master’s in Secondary Spanish Education. Before my Master’s program, I was able to work as an English teacher abroad in Spain. I also studied abroad for a semester in southeastern Spain while completing my degree. I am also Polish and have traveled quite a bit throughout Europe.

In my free time, I enjoy running, reading, and traveling the world. I’d love

Quizzes As 8th graders, the expectation is that you already made your mistakes in 7th grade and now know how to study for Spanish class. Therefore, there will be NO retakes this year. You are expected to study using Quizlet and other study tools used last year.

Missed/Late WorkLate work WILL NOT be accepted. The exception is if you were absent. You will have 1 class day to make up your work for each day you were absent. Example: Absent on Monday, in class on Wednesday. Go to absent folder and get your missing work. It is due on Friday.

Classroom ExpectationsRespect yourself, others, and property in room. You must, at all times, treat everyone and everything in this room with respect. I expect you to respect students, guests, books, desks, me, and everything else in the classroom. In return, you should expect to be treated with respect. We will have discussions where people have different opinions. It will be one of your challenges this year to learn to respect others for their beliefs and values although you may not agree with them.Do not disturb the learning/teaching process of any person. When someone is talking you should be quiet and listen. There will be times when you are presenting and others will be expected to listen to you as well. In addition, when it is time to work in class, I expect that you will be working on the assignment for this class and not for other classes. You are responsible for your own actions. You are expected to turn in your homework, come to class prepared and be ready to learn. Also, you are expected to complete your

Do not disturb the learning/teaching process of any person. When someone is talking you should be quiet and listen. There will be times when you are presenting and others will be expected to listen to you as well. In addition, when it is time to work in class, I expect that you will be working on the assignment for this class and not for other classes. This also means no distractions for yourself: please do not have your cellphone or any other electronics on while classes are in session.

You are responsible for your own actions. You are expected to turn in your homework, come to class prepared and be ready to learn. Also, you are expected to complete your own work- this means there will be no tolerance for copying, cheating or plagiarizing work. If this becomes an issue you will be referred to the dean’s office.
