Happy Easter

Easter is always a time of hope in the Christian calendar. A time when we look around us

at new life and new beginnings and celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

This year it feels particularly poignant; exactly a year since we entered the first

lockdown, and yet all around us there are signs that our School Community is better and

stronger than ever. Despite the difficult circumstances caused by the pandemic,

children, staff and parents have pulled together to support each other and do the very

best that they can to ensure the health and well-being of every child. We are proud of

you all.

Hopefully this Easter holiday will mark the start of a road back to ‘normality’ and we wish all our families a wonderful

break. School finishes for Nursery on Tuesday, and for the rest of the school on Wednesday. We look forward to seeing

you all again on Monday, 19 April.

St Leonard’s Way

The aim of the St Leonard’s Way is to Engage, Challenge, Inspire children at all levels.

Engage – Talking together and being interested in learning

Challenge – Always do your best and try new things

Inspire – Raise your aspirations. Follow your dreams…

Together we can help every child achieve their potential and live Life in all its Fullness!

Wishing you all the very best,

Neil Blackwell

From the Head Teacher

With so much formal learning being lost this year it is vital that we support our children in

enjoying and practising their reading. Thank you to everyone who ‘upped’ their game last

week and did some extra reads! For some families it was just a quick win to write the reads in

the Reading Record book. The main thing is to enjoy reading and spending time together!

Our Reception are so good at writing and practise it

appointments; they even washed a few cars!
