THEORY TO PRACTICE

Identity Achievement Seen specifically in

“applying to graduate school” workshop

Students were making crucial choices that lead to making commitments

Choosing their own path

Confident in articulating their own goals

Basis of thoughtful, exploration “This is what I need to

do”

Multiplicity What students thought they

knew, they do not anymore Study habits, time

management, etc…

Authority may have pushed to the workshop

Authority may not have all the answers Find out for themselves how to

be successful

Progressing to independent thought

Thinking analytically about their own education and what it will take to be successful
