CaptioningStar diligently follows the guidelines set forth by ADA (Americans with Disability ACT) that includes providing accessible parking spaces, easy navigation throughout the event, (people with wheelchairs, canes, walkers are assisted and are able to access the event without any hindrance), portable restrooms etc. The primary focus of ADA act is to prevent anyone from being discriminated against on the basis of disability.

COVID-19 Effect on Live Captioning eventsIt was yet another day when CaptioningStar started acquiring leads for Live Captioning events that were supposed to be scheduled in the month of March.

Page 5: John Peterson

When CaptioningStar were all set to proceed further with the lead enquiries there was a sudden global outbreak where WHO on March 11, 2020 declared COVID-19 a pandemic, the situation where no one would have even imagined in their wildest dreams.

More than 2,00,000 have contracted the disease and as a precautionary measure to protect people from getting affected, the U.S. Government along with Live event planners have been cancelling the events to avoid public gatherings from any major technical conferences to minor concerts.

On March 15, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a notice that all large events and mass gatherings to be avoided in order to regulate the spread of COVID-19 in the United States.

The title of the video, description and tags are the key elements. Not many YouTube users however realize that closed captions and transcripts positively influences user engagement, watch time, viewership, and obviously SEO.
