2. Theodicity is the justification of the righteousness of God and of his actions. How

does the gospel of John serve that purpose? (think of the signs performed by

Jesus)

3. The first sign Jesus performed was the water into wine. The fifth sign is the

feeding of the multitude. Read Isaiah 25:6 and Revelation 19:9. How is Jesus

fulfilling past prophesies and forecasting what is to come? Is he performing thosesigns for everybody or just his disciples. Explain.

4. In Johns Gospel Jesus will make seven I AM statements. Which one did he make in

this passage? Why do you think that this was a turning point for many of his

followers (see John 6:66)?
