2018 WVSNA Annual Conference April 6-8, 2018

Morgantown Marriot @ Waterfront Place “Join the Club for Child Nutrition”

Make plans now to attend the West Virginia School Nutrition Association

Annual Conference. The 2018 Conference will be held April 6, 7, and 8th

2018 at Morgantown Marriott @ Waterfront Place.

Pre-Conference

Pre-Conference will begin Friday April 6th @ 8:30a.m and will conclude @ 4:30p.m. Lunch will be provided.

8:30 – 11:30

WVSNA is very proud to announce that Dayle Hayes, nationally recognized

speaker, will be presenting “Six Ways to Make Sure Your Meals ROCK,

Increase Participation, and Your Job Satisfaction Too!”

12:30 – 4:30

Following lunch, at 12:45, you can hop on a charter bus with Sharon Maynard, our American Dairy Association Mideast representative, who has graciously set up a dairy farm tour. We will tour the Mason run farm and learn the milk process from Farm to Table. We may even play cow trivia along the way for some fun prizes! Forty people will be able to join and will be selected on a first come first serve bases*. The bus will return by 4:30 pm.

*If more would like to attend the farm tour than space allows, we will keep a waiting list. You will be notified prior to the conference if you are one of the lucky bus participants touring the farm.

Carol H. Gilbert, a national speaker also featured at recent WVSNA

Conferences presenting “Teaspoons, Cups, Quarts and Pounds…Recipe Ins and Outs”.

First General Session – Everyone is Encouraged to Attend

First general opening session will be held downstairs in the MEC A Room @ 6:30PM

Immediately following @ 7:00PM will be a fun educational session for the cooks.

Meet and Greet – Directors & Industry Members

7:00 PM Meet and Greet with Industry Members. This will be an opportunity for Directors and Industry to meet in a relaxed atmosphere (without product samples). It will provide a time to discuss marketing, participation strategies, staff development needs and overall strengthen our partnership. WVSNA cannot succeed without the support of our Industry partners and your attendance will help to make it a stellar time.

Two drink tickets per person attending and light hors d’oeuvres will be served. Directors may bring one guest from their county ex. – cafeteria manager, secretary. Also, if the Director cannot attend please send someone from your county to attend this event as we would like participation from all counties. You must sign up for this event on the registration form.

Talent Show

At the conclusion of the sessions everyone is encouraged to loosen up and get dressed in their awesome 80’s costumes. Don’t forget your big hair, leg warmers, glow sticks and whatever else you can find for a talent show full of fun! You can perform individually or as a county, whatever you choose. Lots of laughs to be made and guarantee to have a “gnarly” good time.
